All-Pro Superstar With 2x Pro Bowl Shocks with $34M Real Estate Purchase in Boston — Fans Speculate He’s Reached Agreement with the Patriots

Speculation surrounding A.J. Brown’s potential trade has intensified this offseason, with the New England Patriots increasingly viewed as a realistic landing spot if the Philadelphia Eagles decide to move their star wide receiver. The attention grew significantly after reports revealed the Brown family had recently completed a $34 million real estate purchase in the Greater Boston area, prompting fans to question whether he’s planning to join the famous New England team.

While officially described as a business decision, the timing of this purchase has raised doubts about Brown’s future in Philadelphia. Recently, Brown and his family finalized the acquisition of a newly constructed luxury apartment building, featuring 25 units, completed in 2024. This is the largest investment in the family’s growing real estate portfolio, and his presence in Boston has only fueled speculation about a potential move to the Patriots.

Adding fuel to the fire are A.J. Brown’s public comments praising Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Brown has often praised Vrabel’s leadership style and his ability to command a locker room, qualities that align closely with New England’s organizational culture. These remarks have further sparked rumors that a deal between Brown and the Patriots may already be in the works.

The Patriots are currently aggressively looking to improve their receiving corps, especially with the likelihood that Stefon Diggs may depart after the season. The wide receiver position remains a weakness for the team, and acquiring a star like A.J. Brown would significantly boost the Patriots' offensive power, especially as they search for a true No. 1 target.

Despite recent tension in Brown’s relationship with the Philadelphia Eagles, a trade remains a possibility if the Patriots present a strong offer. Brown still has a contract worth approximately $96 million, and with New England’s salary cap flexibility, they are in a prime position to absorb the deal.

If this trade goes through, A.J. Brown would immediately become a major threat for the Patriots' offense, providing them with a high-quality partner on the perimeter. While there has been no official confirmation of talks between the two teams, Brown’s new $34 million real estate investment in Greater Boston, his admiration for Mike Vrabel, and the Patriots’ pressing need at wide receiver will keep New England at the center of A.J. Brown trade speculation throughout the offseason.

Micah Parsons finishes 3rd for Defensive Player of the Year
Only Myles Garrett and Will Anderson Jr. received more votes than Micah Parsons by Justis Mosqueda Feb 6, 2026, 10:04 AM GMT+7     11 Comment (All New) Lil Wayne reacts to the Packers trading for Micah Parsons | First Things First               This year’s NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award race wasn’t particularly close. Cleveland Browns edge defender Myles Garrett received all 50 first-place votes for the award after his record-setting 23-sack season in 2025. In total, Garrett received a perfect 500 points in the voting process. Behind Garrett, though, it was a bit of a mixed bag. In second place was Houston’s Will Anderson Jr., who recorded 12 sacks in 17 starts and, like Garrett, was named an Associated Press first-team All-Pro this season. After Anderson in the voting was the Green Bay Packers’ Micah Parsons, the third edge rusher to make first-team All-Pro in 2025. Despite only playing in 14 games last year, due to his torn ACL against the Denver Broncos in Week 15, Parsons is still getting plenty of credit for the impact he had in his 12.5-sack season. Below is how the point total worked out for the top five vote earners: 500 - Myles Garrett, EDGE, Cleveland 177 - Will Anderson Jr., EDGE, Houston 63 - Micah Parsons, EDGE, Green Bay 52 - Nik Bonitto, EDGE, Denver 42 - Aidan Hutchinson, EDGE, Detroit Interestingly, Bonitto wasn’t even one of the top six edge defenders in the All-Pro race in 2025. Garrett, Anderson and Parsons were the first-teamers, while Hutchinson, New York’s Brian Burns and Houston’s Danielle Hunter were named the second-teamers at the position. With that being said, Bonitto was named as a Pro Football Writers of America All-Pro, though they split out their voting into the defensive end and outside linebacker positions (outside linebacker almost always also goes to edge defenders, t00). Hopefully, Parsons finishes higher on the DPOY race in 2026, despite having to overcome his ACL recovery.
