No Celebration, No Raised Hands – TE Juwan Johnson’s Postgame Gesture After the 17–7 Win Over the Panthers Left the Entire NFL Silent in Emotion.
Charlotte, North Carolina – November 10, 2025
Sometimes, the most beautiful moments in football don’t happen between the lines — they happen after the final whistle, when compassion rises above victory.
Following the New Orleans Saints’ 17–7 win over the Carolina Panthers, tight end Juwan Johnson showed exactly that. Instead of celebrating his game-sealing touchdown with teammates, Johnson immediately ran toward a female camerawoman he had accidentally collided with earlier in the game, causing her to suffer a leg injury.

The incident took place in the fourth quarter, with 10:31 remaining on the clock. On 3rd & 12, rookie QB Tyler Shough (No. 17) escaped pressure from the Panthers’ defense — including Jaycee Horn (No. 8) — and fired a perfect 62-yard touchdown pass to Juwan Johnson (No. 83), extending the Saints’ lead to 17–7. As Johnson crossed into the end zone, he was pushed from behind by a Panthers defender, sending him crashing into a camerawoman stationed near the back of the end zone. The impact knocked her down, and she appeared to hurt her leg.
Johnson immediately checked on her after the play, but what he did after the game truly moved everyone. When the final whistle blew and his teammates began celebrating at midfield, Johnson skipped the celebration, sprinted back toward the corner of the end zone where she was working, knelt beside her, and apologized again.
“I was too caught up in the moment, but when I saw her fall, my heart dropped,” Johnson said after the game. “She was just doing her job — capturing our moment — and I didn’t want that moment to hurt her. I told her I was truly sorry and that I hoped she’s okay. Football can be physical, but compassion has to come first.”
A 15-second video of the moment quickly went viral, gaining millions of views and countless emotional reactions from fans and players alike.
“Among all the NFL highlights, this was the real one,” one fan commented on X.
The entire NFL community couldn’t stop talking about it — not because of the 62-yard touchdown, but because Juwan Johnson reminded everyone that before being a player, you should first be a good human being.
