Patriots Fan Arrested After V.i.o.l.e.nt A.t.t.ack on Bills Supporters’ Bus Outside Gillette Stadium
Foxborough, Massachusetts – December 14, 2025
What was already a heated AFC East rivalry took a disturbing turn on Sunday, as a New England Patriots fan was arrested following a violent attack on a bus carrying Buffalo Bills supporters outside Gillette Stadium — just hours before Buffalo’s dramatic 35–31 comeback victory over New England.
According to local law enforcement, the incident occurred Sunday afternoon in the stadium parking area as Bills fans were arriving ahead of kickoff. The suspect, identified as a Patriots supporter, allegedly rushed toward a parked bus filled with Bills fans and began throwing heavy objects at the vehicle, shattering multiple windows while passengers were still inside.
Witnesses described scenes of chaos and panic as fans scrambled to shield children and elderly supporters from flying glass. Several individuals suffered minor injuries and were transported to a nearby hospital for evaluation. Authorities later confirmed that all injuries were non-life-threatening, though officials stressed the situation could have been far worse.

Police officers stationed near the stadium responded quickly, restraining and arresting the suspect at the scene. Investigators believe alcohol consumption and heightened rivalry-driven emotions were major contributing factors in the incident. Charges are expected to include assault, vandalism, and disorderly conduct.
“This behavior is completely unacceptable,” a Foxborough Police Department spokesperson said. “Rivalries are part of sports, but when fans cross the line into violence, innocent people are put in danger. That will not be tolerated.”
Both organizations moved swiftly to condemn the incident. The Buffalo Bills released a statement expressing concern for their supporters and gratitude toward first responders for acting quickly. The New England Patriots also denounced the actions, emphasizing that the individual involved does not represent the values of the franchise or its fan base.
Unfortunately for New England, the unsettling off-field incident was followed by heartbreak on the field.
Later that night, the Bills erased an early deficit and stunned the Patriots with a 35–31 comeback win, snapping New England’s 10-game winning streak and tightening the AFC East race. Buffalo’s offense surged in the second half, while the Patriots struggled to regain momentum as the game slipped away.
What should have been remembered purely as a classic rivalry showdown was partially overshadowed by a reminder of how quickly passion can turn dangerous.
A Stark Reminder
The Bills earned their victory between the lines. But Sunday will also be remembered for a message that extended beyond football. Rivalries fuel the NFL. Emotion is part of the game. Violence is not.
As the Bills and Patriots moved on from an unforgettable 35–31 contest, the message from law enforcement and both franchises was clear:
Keep the rivalry on the field. Keep fans safe.
