Patriots Superstar Admits He Was Once an Antifan, Didn't Like the Patriots But Has Now Changed Allegiance – Reveals the Moment That Made His Heart Fully Belong to New England
Foxborough, Massachusetts – January 30, 2026
Ahead of Super Bowl LX, a key star for the New England Patriots surprised fans by admitting that he was once not a fan of the team he now plays for. He shared that as a young football fan, he didn’t like the team during the Bill Belichick and Tom Brady era.
With the Patriots always being the dominant team, he got tired of seeing the same team win repeatedly. “I always tell people, and y’all gonna kill me when I say this, but I did not like the Patriots,” he shared in a recent interview. The reason was simple: he just wanted to see someone else win.
Funny moment with Milton Williams today after he was asked if he had any memories watching the Patriots growing up:

However, after joining the Patriots, Milton Williams completely changed his perspective. He admitted that after understanding what goes on behind the team’s success, he realized the greatness of the Patriots. “I mean, I'm here now so I love the Patriots,” he said proudly. Now, he fully respects and understands the effort the team puts into maintaining their dominance over the years.
Williams, a player from Crowley, Texas, has had a unique journey. He played college football at Louisiana Tech before being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 3rd round of the 2021 NFL Draft. When he joined the Patriots, he wasn’t just a young player but also someone with a fresh perspective on the team.
He also shared that his frustration with the Patriots’ dominance led to his dislike of the team. However, that changed once he saw the effort and work the team put in to maintain success. “When you really get in it, and you really understand what comes with it and the work you gotta put into it, to consistently be doing that over and over again, you really can't say nothing,” Williams said.

Before joining the Patriots, Williams had no personal or local reason to root for the team. However, once he became part of the New England system, he felt the love and loyalty that other players had for the team. Now, he is an indispensable part of the Patriots' defensive system.
Milton Williams confirmed that he is fully committed to the Patriots and is ready to fight with everything for the team. “I’ve changed completely. I understand now that I’m part of the Patriots family and I will fight with everything for you guys,” Williams concluded. With this mindset, he is sure to be a key factor in the Patriots' Super Bowl LX campaign.
