According to court records, Eddie Lacy was arrested on September 30, 2024, with a blood alcohol level more than four times the legal limit. At the peak of his career, Eddie Lacy was the 2013 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year, a key contributor to Alabama Crimson Tide’s three national championships, before being selected by the Packers in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. In his first two seasons in Green Bay, he surpassed 1,100 rushing yards in back-to-back years, scored numerous touchdowns, and quickly became the focal point of the offense.

During the 2013–2014 stretch, Lacy was viewed as a true “sledgehammer” in the red zone, the perfect piece to help the Packers maintain their cold-weather football identity at Lambeau Field.
